TGA team up with Parkinson’s UK to help members attend Pride in London

At TGA, we are proud to be partnered with charity, Parkinson’s UK. We were delighted to be able to support Parkinson’s UK members for a second year, by loaning Vita E mobility scooters so Ian with Parkinson’s, and Anne, a charity member of staff with a disability, could join in the Pride in London parade.

This year’s parade took place on the 29th June. It was once again a celebration of diversity and inclusivity. Ian said: “This is the 2nd year I’ve been able to attend London Pride with Parkinson’s UK and I wouldn’t be able to attend without this amazing scooter from TGA Mobility. It’s comfortable and perfect for the occasion; we even decorate it for the parade. I’m so thankful to be at Pride and that it can be made accessible!”

Anne added by saying: “I’ve had rheumatoid arthritis for over 30 years, and using a mobility scooter at Pride is the difference between being able to attend and not! It’s especially great this year, as it means my daughter and I can get to enjoy the experience together without my needing to worry so much about my energy and pain levels.”

Emma Tegala, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead at Parkinson’s UK, was just as thankful: “We’re thrilled that TGA is supporting us again at our second year at Pride in London and are making it possible for our disabled community members to attend. It’s so important to us that those with limited mobility aren’t excluded from attending this important event, and so a huge thank you to TGA for their ongoing support.”

We continue to partner with Parkinson’s UK, and support the wider Parkinson’s community, with a 10% discount on all mobility scooter, powerchair and wheelchair purchases, with an extra 10% donation being made to the charity with every discounted purchase.
